Fenerbahce and Besiktas come in with different ambitions in one of the biggest Turkish derbys, sometimes referred to as the Intercontinental derby. While Fenerbahce trails four points to the league leader Galatasaray and still hopes to win the title, Besiktas is fighting for one of the spots that would give them European football. 

Fenerbahce were on a tremendous run of seven straight wins, so they were keeping pace with Galatasaray. However, on Monday, Ismail Kartal's team won only one point on the road against Sivasspor. Now, Fenerbahce has to win everything until the end and hope Galatasaray loses some games. The chances are slim, but hope is the only one left for Fenerbahce. In a draw against Sivasspor, Fenerbahce were ahead 2-1, but the home side scored in the second half's stoppage time and left Kartal's team with only one point. 

Besiktas' form is far from perfect, as they have won only two of the last seven matches in all competitions. In the previous game, Besiktas played 0-0 on the road in the cup semifinal against Ankaragucu. That was only the first leg, so Besiktas can be satisfied with that outcome, as they will be the favorites when the teams meet next time at Tupras Stadium. 

Fenerbahce vs Besiktas pick: Fenerbahce to win and cover AH -1.5 spread

Fenerbahce and Besiktas have met once this season. In the December game, Fenerbahce won 3-1 in front of Besiktas fans. Fenerbahce is clearly a better side this season, so we should expect Fenerbahce to win and cover the AH -1.5 spread on Saturday evening.
