Serie A action returns to Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris on Monday evening as Genoa takes on Cagliari. 

Genoa vs Cagliari Betting Tips: BTTS / Cagliari or draw

Cagliari makes the long trip north to Genoa in high spirits with the visitors currently enjoying a four-game unbeaten run in Serie A. Indeed, with just one defeat in their last nine league matches, Claudio Ranieri´s side have moved away from the relegation zone and now sit 14th in the division - four points clear of Frosinone who occupy the final place in the bottom three. 

Picking up three wins and five draws from their last nine, the Sardinians have become a much tougher side to beat in recent weeks. Cagliari had lost six of their nine previous league fixtures.

Goals are usually on the menu when Cagliari are in action - Ranieri´s side have seen BTTS in their last four league matches and in 13 of their last 16 games played in 2024. 

Hosts Genoa, currently 12th in Serie A and seven points clear of Cagliari, saw their four-game unbeaten run come to an end with a 1:0 home loss against Lazio last time out. 

Five of Genoa´s six previous matches saw BTTS and considering the Isolani´s recent results, we can be hopeful of seeing both teams score this weekend. 

While unlikely to be a high-scoring thriller, I do expect both teams to get on the scoresheet on Monday with a low-scoring draw, the likeliest outcome at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris.

BTTS is my top tip while I also fancy Cagliari to take at least a point home to Sardinia.
