An entertaining Bundesliga contest could be on the cards at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK as Dortmund takes on champions Leverkusen on Sunday.

Both teams come into Sunday's contest having enjoyed successful progress to the latter stages of European competition this week. hosts Dortmund scored a thrilling 4:2 win against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, before Leverkusen secured their place in the last four of the Europa League with a 1:1 draw at West Ham. 

While Leverkusen have already secured their first-ever Bundesliga title, Dortmund still have plenty to play for domestically. Edin Terzic´s side sit fifth in the division, and currently outside of the Champions League qualification positions. 

Domestically, Dortmund have struggled for home consistency this season. Terzic´s side have won five and lost four of their last ten home Bundesliga outings. As a consequence of that inconsistency, BVB find themselves 23 points behind their opponents on Sunday.

Goals are always expected at this venue and in this fixture. Dortmund have seen BTTS in eight of their last 11 home matches while at least three goals were netted in five of their last seven games at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. 

Visiting Leverkusen continue to enjoy the best season in their history. Remarkably still unbeaten after a late goal secured a 1:1 draw at West Ham on Thursday, the Bundesliga champions boast an outstanding 16 point advantage at the summit of the division.

With a Europa League semi-final and German Cup final still to come in the next weeks, it remains to be seen how much energy the champions will pour into their five remaining Bundesliga fixtures. Yet, you would imagine Xabi Alonso´s side will be in no mood to see their incredible 44-game unbeaten run come to an end this weekend.

A tough match to call, I can't pick a winner but BTTS seems a sure-fire winner. Eight of the last 11 meetings between these rivals saw that outcome while an average of 4.4 goals have been scored in their last 14 contests since 2017. 

I´m backing BTTS with the expectation that we should see at least three goals netted in an entertaining Bundesliga battle.
