Birmingham City’s fight to stay in the English second division next season will continue on Tuesday night when they host in-form Middlesbrough.
Birmingham finished in the bottom eight in each of their last four seasons and look likely to do so again this season. Mark Venus' men currently find themselves in the bottom four, but their recent home record will give them encouragement for Tuesday's game. The Blues won three of their last four home fixtures and will certainly believe they can pick up three points here.
Middlesbrough meanwhile have not been able to match their own standards of last season. Michael Carrick's side finished fourth in the Championship in the 2022-23 season, only to crash out in the promotion play-offs and have since been very inconsistent.
Birmingham City vs Middlesbrough Betting Tips: Double Chance Middlesbrough
The hosts will be buoyed by home advantage but their form has been poor of late. Birmingham City will go into Tuesday's game with a run of four straight games without a win, losing three and drawing one.
Middlesbrough suffered successive defeats after their win over Leicester City last month, but the Blues have shown in their last two games that they are capable of beating any opponent on a good day. The visitors won their last two league outings 5-1 on aggregate and also have four wins from their last four meetings with Mark Venus' side.

Birmingham City team news
Birmingham City head coach Mark Venus will be without the services of Alfie Chang who has been out since August due to a knee injury.
The midfielder is joined on the hosts’ injury list by George Hall who is currently treating a hamstring injury, but the hosts have no suspensions.
Jay Stansfield is the club’s top scorer this season nine goals and should lead the line, while George Hall will be pushing for a start in the engine room.
