One point clear of rivals Dortmund in the race for the Bundesliga title, Bayern Munich welcomes third-placed RB Leipzig to the Allianz Arena for their final home fixture of the campaign.

A thrilling finale to the German season sees Bayern coming into their penultimate fixture knowing only three points will do with an on-form BVB facing Augsburg earlier in the day.

Having dropped five points at the end of April with a shock loss at Mainz and a disappointing home draw with Hoffenheim, Thomas Tuchel´s Bayern have responded in recent outings with three successive victories maintaining their slim grip at the top of the league table.

Two wins short of a record-breaking eleventh successive Bundesliga title, Bayern now faces one of the biggest games of their season, with visiting RB more than capable of wielding a fatal blow to the Bavarian giants.

Marco Rose´s side arrives in Munich on the back of an excellent run of form, which has seen them win seven of their last eight matches in all competitions. Now third in the table but only a point above fourth-placed Union and four clear of Freiburg, RB still requires at least a point if they are to guarantee their place at Europe´s top table next season.

While unable to win the title, RB are only eight points behind Bayern, and they do have a history of taking points at this venue. In fact, RB have lost only one of their last three matches against Bayern at the Allianz - that a narrow 3:2 loss last season, having claimed a fine 3:3 draw in the year prior. 

Goals can usually be expected when these sides meet with five of their last six seeing BTTS, and we expect that outcome to occur once more with RB in such great form over the past six weeks. Of course, with the title on the line, Bayern are big favourites to claim the points; however, having failed to win two of their last three home games against RB, it would be unwise to bank on a Bavarian victory. 

Bayern do have a superb home record, of course, with the hosts now unbeaten in 23 league games at the Allianz. However, they have dropped points in three of their last nine at this venue, while RB has the experience of leaving Munich with positive results in their possession.

Ultimately, while we´re not entirely convinced RB can stop Bayern´s pursuit of an incredible 11th successive Bundesliga title, the visitors can certainly get on the scoresheet in what should prove a thrilling matchup in Munich.
