Elfsborg will be looking to register what will be only their second win of the 2024 Swedish top flight campaign when they host Sirius on Monday evening.

The hosts pushed Malmö all the way until the final matchday last season only losing the title on goal difference, something they were hoping to build on this season. Jimmy Thelin’s side haven’t quite been able to replicate that form unfortunately, with the team boasting just one win from the five games played so far.

Entertainment has been the major headline in the recent games of Elfsborg. Nine of the last ten games of the Yellow Ones ended with at least three goals and I fancy Monday’s game to have a similar ending.

Sirius conceded more goals than all the teams in the top half of the standings last season and that problem is yet to be resolved. The visitors are without a clean sheet in their last four matches and their defensive record against Elfsborg is equally very poor.
