In the fourth round of the Allsvenskan, Elfsborg and Kalmar will face off at Boras Arena in Boras. 

Last year, Elfsborg had a massive chance to win the title, as they were at the top of the league's table for more or less the entire season. However, with a loss to Malmo in the last round, they lost the title due to a worse goal difference despite being on a level with points with Malmo. This year started pretty poorly for the Yellow Ones as they failed to make it to the playoffs of the Svenska Cupen, finishing second in the group with Degerfors, Orgryte, and GAIS. In the Allsvenskan, Elfsborg started well with four wins in two games but then suffered a massive 3:0 defeat against Hammarby. 

In the previous three years, Kalmar have been pretty solid, finishing sixth twice and fourth once. However, this season started terribly for them as they failed to reach the Svenska Cup playoffs and suffered three defeats in the first three games of All Svenskan. At this moment, Kalmar and Vasteras SK are the only two teams without points in the first games. 

Elfsborg vs Kalmar pick: Over 2.5 goals

In six games this season in all competitions, Elfsborg was over 2.5 goals on four occasions - 67%. At home, they have scored two goals per game in three matches, and we believe they should score two or three against out-of-form Kalmar, which failed to keep a clean sheet in six matches this year. 

Kalmar are in terrible form, losing three in a row in the league. Still, they managed to score in two of those matches and should be capable of scoring against Elfsborg as well, which haven't been impressive defensively. 

Last season, these teams met twice, and we saw three (or more) goals on both occasions. We anticipate a high-scoring game, most likely with both teams scoring.
