An intriguing Bundesliga contest is set for Deutsche Bank Park this Friday as European qualification hopefuls Eintracht Frankfurt and Augsburg square-off.

Currently occupying sixth place with 42 points, Eintracht Frankfurt sits 14 points behind fourth-placed RB Leipzig in the Champions League race, with only five matches remaining. Augsburg, positioned seventh, trail Frankfurt by three points, making this encounter a vital one for both teams.

Frankfurt's recent form has been underwhelming, with a 3-0 defeat suffered against Stuttgart in their last Bundesliga outing, extending their winless streak to four matches. 

At Deutsche Bank Park, Frankfurt have been tough to beat this season, with six wins, seven draws, and only one loss in 14 Bundesliga matches. The hosts are currently unbeaten in home matches this year. Unfortunately, Dino Toppmoller´s side have only managed to win one of their last five on home soil, with four of those games ending deadlocked.

Eintracht have proven more reliable in the goal markets this season with eight of their last ten home matches seeing BTTS. 

Augsburg come into this contest having secured a 2-0 victory over Union Berlin in their most recent fixture and will fancy their chances of closing the gap on Frankfurt this weekend. The visitors have been in great form recently with five wins and just one defeat in their last seven Bundesliga runouts. 

On the road, Jess Thorup´s side have been somewhat inconsistent. The visitors won three, lost four and drew three of their last ten away fixtures. Four of their last six away fixtures saw BTTS including both of their last two matches at Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim. 

The last Bundesliga encounter between these two sides saw Augsburg emerge victorious with a 2-1 win at WWK Arena in December. Each of the last four meetings between these sides saw BTTS and I fancy the same outcome this weekend.

While it´s tough to pick a winner with these sides closely matched in the Bundesliga standings, I am confident we will see both teams net at Deutsche Bank Park.
