Egypt enters the 2018 World Cup with high expectations and they will fight for the second spot in Group A. Their talisman Mohammed Salah, who broke the record for goals in an English Premier League this season, will be their key player on this competition. The Pharaohs waited a long time to be back at the World Cup and will do their best to beat Saudi Arabia and pick up at least one point against the hosts. Here’s everything you need to know about the team:

They are back at the World Cup for the first time since 1990 and with Mo Salah in team all expect from them to reach Round of 16. Salah has scored more then 40 goals for Liverpool this season and if he would be ready and fully fit then Egypt have some chances. After being injured in the Champions League final with Liverpool, Salah’s tournament participation was in doubt. It would be a truly hard job for Egypt to qualify for the Round of 16 – they are in the same group with one giant and with the hosts. Led by the heavily-experienced Argentine manager Hector Cuper they will try to make big success with organised and aggressive playing in the midfield.

Egypt Prediction and Expectations on World Cup 2018

They are in manageable group and if play well organised then can fight for the second spot in Group A. But it is just in theory, looks like they are not in top form. Egypt should get three points against Saudi Arabia, and the match against Russia will be the most important one for the Pharaohs.
