Wolverhampton Wanderers vs West Bromwich Albion Betting Tips
Having made a bright start to the season, Wolves will be looking to redress a recent slide in form when they host Sam Allardyce´s relegation-threatened WBA.
Indeed, without a win in 5 league games, Nuno Espirito Santo´s side has now lost 5 of their last 8 in the PL, claiming just 1 win during that rotten run of form and now find themselves in 14th place but still some 11 points ahead of the relegation places.
Of course, Wolves had higher hopes than merely avoiding relegation, particularly with no European football to distract them in this campaign. Still, a series of injuries to key players including Raul Jimenez has certainly hindered recent performances.
Wolves have only managed to win 1 of their last 5 at Molineux at home while 4 of those matches finished with BTTS.
However, given WBÁ´s form this season, which has seen them win just 1 of 17 matches played in the PL so far, it´s hard to have too much confidence in Sam Allardyce´s relegation-threatened side here.
Still, the Baggies have been impressive in their last two away performances, remarkably scoring successive draws at Man City and champions Liverpool.
However, whatever confidence those two results might have brought, was surely eliminated in WBA´s subsequent performances at the Hawthorns which has seen them lose heavily to both Leeds (0:5) and Arsenal (0:4) in recent weeks. WBA have now lost their last 4 at home, leaking a whopping 17 goals in the process.
As such, I expect the hosts to get back to winning ways here at 1.45 odds but that prices do look a little short for my liking. Goals should be in short supply with the under 2.5 goals pick looking likely given both sides recent struggles.
In this their first derby since 2012, you have to expect WBA to park the bus and given Wolves patient, somewhat predictable style, and this one is likely to be tight for much of the 90 minutes.
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs West Bromwich Albion Correct Score Prediction
Don´t expect a thriller in the Midlands derby but Wolves can about squeeze out a 1:0 win against a side that seems to be destined for an immediate return to the Championship.
