Algeria's gritty 1-0 weekend friendly win over Nigeria was their third successive H2H victory against the Super Eagles, and a timely reminder that Gernot Rohr's side aren't where they want to be.

They face Tunisia – three places above them in the FIFA rankings – eager to respond against Mondher Kebaier's men. 15 months after beating them in last summer's African Cup of Nations to finish third, Nigeria hope to stay unbeaten (one win, three draws) here.

Will they achieve that against a side in good spirits after sweeping 3-0 past Sudan last Friday? Read my match preview, for the correct score predictions and best betting tips ahead of this fixture.

Tunisia vs Nigeria Betting Tips

On paper, Nigeria have a very strong side packed with depth and quality. In practice though, that didn't help them avoid conceding a soft goal courtesy of Borussia Monchengladbach's Remy Bensebaini last Friday.

Algeria, who possess Real Betis centre-back Aissa Mandi and Stade Brestois' defensive midfielder Haris Belkebla, didn't even need to score again. They protected their slender cushion and stifled Nigeria – ending Genk forward Paul Onuachu's four-match scoring streak in the process.

It's likely Rohr will turn to his club teammate Cyriel Dessers on Tuesday, having been an unused substitute last week. Leicester's Kelechi Iheanacho and Nantes winger Moses Simon were among those who featured from the bench, so could also start in wide positions.

There's multiple options at Rohr's disposal, but he'll want additional firepower after drawing a blank for the first time since their 1-0 AFCON defeat by Madagascar on June 30 last year. West Brom's Semi Ajayi played in defensive midfield and it'll be interesting to see whether he affords Tunisia similar respect here.

Brondby teenager Anis Ben Slimane (19) scored his first goal post-lockdown last week, while there were goals for Marseille's Saif-Eddine Khaoui and Saint-Etienne forward Wahbi Khazri. They'll be itching to stretch a Nigeria backline that – despite possessing notable individuals – hasn't looked entirely convincing in recent years.

Tunisia vs Nigeria Correct Score Predictions

This is difficult to predict, as both sides could win here. Nigeria need a response after last week's disappointment, so I'd be surprised if they didn't score again, but Tunisia aren't pushovers.
