After cruising to a 4-1 win over Croatia in their first UEFA Nations League match since winning last summer's Finals, Fernando Santos' side travel to Solna with Sweden next up on the agenda.

Jan Andersson's men succumbed to a 1-0 defeat by World Cup winners France last week, despite having more shots (9) and completing more passes (460, 84% success). They'll be eager to finish this international break with a morale-boosting victory against a side they've only beaten once before – a frantic 3-2 friendly win in March 2017.

Can they prove their mettle against a side ranked ten places above them in the FIFA rankings? Read my match preview, for the correct score predictions and best betting tips ahead of this fixture.

Sweden vs Portugal Betting Tips

Portugal were denied by the woodwork on a number of occasions, but ultimately turned the screw in an impressive 4-1 win over Croatia in Porto. The only blemish on their display was substitute Bruno Petkovic's stoppage-time consolation – denying Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes a clean sheet.

They were able to cruise to victory without talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, who watched on helplessly from the stands after failing to overcome a toe infection. Santos remained hopeful that he'd feature in midweek, but there's no reason to risk the Juventus forward at this stage with multiple internationals between now and Christmas.

He's still targeting the elusive 100th goal for his nation and even if he doesn't get it here, there are capable attackers eager to feature too. Joao Felix picked up where he left off in the Champions League last month with a goal and all-round encouraging display. Andre Silva came off the bench to score in stoppage-time too.

Wolves' Diogo Jota netted his first international goal, having made his senior debut last November against Lithuania. Watch how Sweden's backline contend with such attacking talent here – which is easier said than done.

Sweden vs Portugal Correct Score Predictions

Manchester United's Victor Lindelof and Brentford defender Pontus Jansson started in central defence against Les Bleus and it's likely they'll do the same again here. Portugal's attackers will lick their lips in anticipation for an open encounter where they should receive multiple goalscoring opportunities. This clash has goals written all over it.
