Sevilla vs Barcelona Prediction, Betting Tips and Preview

This Saturday, Sevilla will host Barcelona at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium. The clash between two sides from the top-four group is bound to provide the fans with lots of chances, goals, and betting options.

Sevilla are placed fourth in the league with thirty-seven points from ten wins, seven draws, and seven losses. Currently, they are on a three-game winless streak with two losses and a draw. One of those losses came in the week behind us when they faced Villarreal. Alvaro, Ekambi, and Alfonso scored a goal each for Villarreal in order to secure the precious three points.

Barcelona sit at the top of the table with fifty-four points and a positive goal difference of +38. So far in the season, they have gotten sixteen wins, six draws, and two losses. In the week behind us, they triumphed over Valladolid by the minimal result. The clash was a strange one for Barca’s standards and in it, we have seen a number of missed chances. Of the 24 shots they had, half were created and half were taken by Messi. In the forty-third minute of the game, Messi finally got his name on the score sheet from the penalty spot. In the closing minute of the game, he had a chance to further increase the lead but failed to capitalize on another penalty kick.

The two teams have a long history between them and in the recent past, the Catalan club has been the better one. Out of the previous five matches that they’ve played, Barcelona have won four and Sevilla have won the remaining one. It is worth noting that in those five clashes, they averaged 4.6 goals and in three of the five, we have seen both teams score. At home, against Barca, Sevilla have a record of a win, a draw, and three losses from the recent outings.
