Fresh after emerging victorious on penalties against Bosnia & Herzegovina to book their place in next month's Euro 2021 playoff final, Northern Ireland host Austria this weekend.

With one point from their opening two Nations League games this campaign, Ian Baraclough's men sit bottom of League B's Group 1 standings. Plenty can change between now and next weekend though, with games against Austria and Norway in quick succession.

Austria were 2-1 winners against Greece on Wednesday evening after a timely second-half double for Franco Foda's side.

He'll hope their impressive H2H record continues here, in a winnable encounter but form has been unpredictable of late. Read my match preview, for the correct score predictions and best betting tips ahead of this fixture.

Northern Ireland vs Austria Betting Tips

Burnley's Bailey Peacock-Farrell was Northern Ireland's best performer on a busy evening for the 23-year-old goalkeeper against a determined Bosnia effort. They had 59% possession, 20 shots, hit the woodwork and probably should've won in normal time. Instead?

They crashed out of the Euro 2021 playoffs on penalties, courtesy of some important goalkeeping contributions by a man on a mission. Having conceded five at home to Norway in his last international on September 7, Peacock-Farrell would've been aware of Bosnia's strengths.

Powered by new Barcelona midfield signing Miralem Pjanic and Milan's Rade Krunic in the final third, they were persistent threats. He was unfazed, making five saves – including a shootout stop to deny Haris Hajradinovic – and his teammates have him to thank.

Two goals in three minutes from Adrian Grbic and Christoph Baumgartner helped Austria earn a comeback friendly win against Greece 24 hours earlier. Watch how the hosts' backline, featuring Newcastle fullback Jamal Lewis and Leicester centre-back Jonny Evans fares under pressure.

Northern Ireland vs Austria Correct Score Predictions

As mentioned, Austria's H2H record in this fixture speaks volumes – unbeaten in their five meetings, with three successive victories. However, I'm leaning towards BTTS during this clash.

Northern Ireland will be in high spirits after beating a strong Bosnia side in midweek, while Austria weren't exactly at their best against inferior opposition with Greece on Wednesday.
