After a heartbreaking Coupe de France defeat on penalties away at title-challenging Monaco in midweek, Metz host league leaders Lille this weekend, hoping for more luck against one of Ligue 1's top sides. Digbo Maiga ballooned his effort high and wide, meaning Frederic Antonetti's men were empty-handed in their last-16 clash. 

Since successive 2-1 away win at Nice and Bordeaux in February, they have now gone four league games without a victory (L3, D1), and their much-needed cup distractions are no more. 

Lille, by contrast, lost in the same round to defending champions PSG last month and have more important matters: protecting their slender three-point gap after a surprise 1-0 win over yours truly at the weekend.
