Manchester United vs LASK Linz Prediction

Manchester United
LASK Linz
Manchester United host Austrian side LASK Linz, expecting nothing less than a safe passage into the Europa League quarter-finals.
Quite frankly, it would be seen as disastrous if Manchester United were to somehow relinquish their five-goal aggregate advantage. Will it be plain sailing for Solskjaer’s men here, or do the visitors have a determined display up their sleeve? Read my match preview, for the correct score predictions and best betting tips ahead of this fixture.
Manchester United vs LASK Linz Betting Tips
LASK couldn’t have had much worse preparations for mission impossible in Manchester this midweek. Having finished the Austrian Bundesliga on July 5 after three successive defeats, they also lost their one and only warm-up friendly before travelling to the UK.
A 2-0 defeat by FK Senica on July 29 wouldn’t have pleased head coach Dominik Thalhammer at all. Nor would it have provided much confidence that his side can, at the very least, make the aggregate scoreline respectable.
Since beating Hartberg 5-1 on June 24, they’ve conceded nine goals and scored just one and finished their campaign with a whimper. Manchester United on the other hand, cannot really complain. After a topsy-turvy season across all competitions, the Red Devils earned an unlikely Champions League qualification berth for next season.
Although Chelsea snapped their 19-match unbeaten streak (across all comps) in their FA Cup semi-final defeat, they finished the Premier League season strongly.
Six victories from a possible nine matches after June’s resumption, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood were on fire in the final third. January signing and fan favourite Bruno Fernandes also excelled, as they now target continental silverware this summer.
Manchester United vs LASK Linz Correct Score Predictions
Unfortunately for LASK, I only see this encounter going one way – in favour of the hosts.
They’ve benefited from increased match sharpness, having beaten Leicester to clinch Champions League qualification via the domestic route on July 26. In addition, they boast much better quality and overall depth. Although I doubt it’ll be as comprehensive as the first leg, United should ease to victory here too.
