Both Leeds and Arsenal will seek a triumphant return to Premier League action this weekend, after suffering frustrating defeats before the international break. Marcelo Bielsa’s side have started their first campaign back among England’s top division relatively well, but also been punished by more clinical opposition.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal remain volatile to say the least, mixing gritty wins over West Ham and Manchester United with disappointing losses by Leicester and Aston Villa so far this term.

Can one seize the initiative and earn an important three points? Read my match preview, for the correct score predictions and best betting tips ahead of this fixture.

Leeds United vs Arsenal Betting Tips

Jack Grealish, Ross Barkley and Ollie Watkins ruled supreme at the Emirates before the latest international break, en route to a 3-0 win at Arsenal’s expense. Despite earning a gripping 1-0 win just four months earlier, this was the first time Villa had beaten them in north London since 2013.

Questions over Arteta’s team selection and underperforming players has continued, with Alexandre Lacazette particularly an easy scapegoat recently. Simply put, their issues run much deeper than the Frenchman: like establishing a settled midfield while utilising captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang more effectively.

Mohamed Elneny (COVID-19) and Thomas Partey (thigh) are both sidelined, meaning Granit Xhaka could partner Dani Ceballos or Ainsley Maitland-Niles in central midfield here. Leeds conceded eight goals in their last two matches against Leicester and Crystal Palace, so perhaps it’s back to the drawing board for Bielsa’s boys.

They need to channel the same energy they adopted against Manchester City last month, if they’re to frustrate and successfully stifle Arsenal this weekend.

Leeds United vs Arsenal Correct Score Predictions

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last six H2H meetings, while Leeds have failed to keep a clean sheet in 11 consecutive matches against the Gunners – dating back to April 2000.

Bielsa’s men performed admirably and with better finishing, could’ve beaten them in the FA Cup back in January. Both sides are relatively unpredictable and as such, I’m leaning towards BTTS.
