Wolves vs Tottenham prediction 11.11.2023

Since coming to the Premier League, Wolves were a stable mid-table team. Last season was their worst since coming to the league, as they finished 13th with 41 points, seven points away from the danger zone. This season started very poorly for them, losing four of the first five Premier League teams. After that bad start, Wolves started playing a lot better and won eight points in four games vs excellent teams. But with a 2:1 loss against one of the worst teams in the league, Sheffield United, in the previous game, they blew the opportunity to climb further on the league's table. Right now, they are 14th with 12 points, six away from the relegation zone. 

A new era for Tottenham has begun with the departure of Harry Kane. And even though many football experts expected the Spurs to struggle without Kane, Tottenham looks better than ever. The club used the money from the Kane transfer and added some excellent players, along with a very interesting coach - Ange Postecoglou. Before the last round, Tottenham were at the top of the league and the only undefeated team in the Premier League. However, with a loss in the last game vs Chelsea in a very odd game, the Spurs now fell to second place, only one point behind Manchester City.

Wolves vs Tottenham pick: Over 2.5 goals

Lately, Wolves almost exclusively played high-scoring games. In the last ten games, they were eight times over 2.5 goals. At Molineux Stadium, they have been really good, winning points against the very best teams in England. More importantly for our bet, they scored at least one goal in all five Premier League games but could not keep a clean sheet. 

Tottenham are looking very good, especially on the offensive end. In 11 Premier League games, Spurs scored two or more goals on nine occasions. The only two times they failed to do so was against Luton and Chelsea when they received red cards fairly early in the games. Defensively, they did not shine in previous games, allowing five goals in the last two games. For this match, their defense will have an additional problem due to the injuries and suspensions of their key defenders. 

Considering the Wolves are a very capable home team, the offensive potential of the Spurs, and some poor defensive performances in recent games from both teams, we think we should see at least three goals in this match, probably with both teams scoring.
