Valencia faces a huge Primera División match on Saturday as they take on Osasuna at the Estadio de Mestalla.

Following another loss last weekend, Valencia remains two points short of safety in a tightly congested bottom section of the division, with just five points separating Celta, currently 12th, and Los Che, who sit 19th.

Now, visiting Osasuna arrive at the Mestalla in eighth place, with the visitors still in the hunt for European qualification despite a goalless draw with Celta last weekend.

Valencia did manage to win their most recent home game, a surprise 1:0 win against Real Sociedad, however, that victory is their only success over the past ten matches, with eight losses suffered during that period. 

Los Che´s home record has not been great, though, with that victory against Sociedad ending a run of three home matches without a win, and they will need to be at their best to overcome an Osasuna side that continues to surprise with their resilient form this season. 

Indeed, the visitors come into this fixture having lost just two of their last nine league matches and just one of their last eight on the road - that a narrow loss at fourth-placed Real Sociedad. Most recently, Osasuna claimed a fine 3:2 win at Sevilla.

Historically, this fixture has often proved an entertaining one, with nine of the last ten meetings seeing BTTS while each of the last four also over 2.5 goals scored. Osasuna are unbeaten in their last two trips to this venue, having lost each of the previous five.
