Turkey didn't play in the previous World Cup, so for them, it is very important to play in the next EURO. Turkey have a very good start to the qualifications with nine points from four matches. Before that game, Turkey had two h2h matches in World Cup qualifications in 2008 and 2009 and in those games, Turkey won 2-0 both times.
