Following their League Cup Final victory against old rivals Rangers, Celtic will be looking for a seventh successive Premiership victory when they take on St. Mirren at the SMISA Stadium.
Still boasting a sizeable nine-point advantage at the summit of the division, the Hoops cemented their status as Scotland´s top side with a well-deserved albeit narrow 2:1 win in last Sunday´s showpiece occasion at Hampden.
Now returning to league duties, Ange Postecoglu´s side should expect a potentially tricky test on Sunday with fifth-placed St. Mirren the only side to beat Celtic in the Premiership over the past eighteen months!
St. Mirren vs Celtic Betting Tips: Celtic -1.5 AH
Celtic had enjoyed a 38-game unbeaten run in the Premiership prior to their shock 2:0 loss at this venue in September of last year. Since that defeat, the Hoops have embarked on another lengthy undefeated period with a remarkable 18 wins and just one draw since their loss in Paisley. Amazingly, Celtic have won 50 of their last 58 league games since September 2021.
Still, it is worth noting that Celtic have failed to win or even score on both of their last two visits to this venue, having been held to a 0:0 draw in December 2021. In addition, St.Mirren have proven a tough side to beat in Paisley, with the hosts losing only one of their previous 13 home league matches.
Yet it´s hard to see the Celtic juggernaut dropping any points at the moment, with a 2:2 draw at Rangers their only blemish over the past 19 matches. Incredibly, Celtic have dropped only five points all season!
With that in mind, we´re backing the visitors to maintain their winning ways, and they should manage to score a couple, having done so in eight of their last nine away Premiership matches. We do expect St.Mirren to make this a decent contest, though, and a runaway Hoops success should not necessarily be expected. Yet, the Hoops have the quality to claim the points and should cover the AH -1.5 selection.

Celtic have no fresh injury or suspension concerns, and following their fine win against Rangers, Head Coach Postecoglu is unlikely to make any changes to his starting XI. Korean forward Hyeon-gyu Oh could replace Kyogo should Postecoglu opt to rest Kyogo.
