High-flying Sheffield United will be looking to maintain their grip on promotion from the Championship when they host Hull at Bramall Lane.

Now boasting an 11-point advantage over third-placed Watford, the Blades look well-placed for a return to the Premier League come the end of the season. However, they should expect a tough night at the office with visiting Hull unbeaten in their last six league matches.

Sheffield United have certainly enjoyed a superb run of form over the past two to three months. Winning nine and losing just one of their last 11 league matches, Paul Heckingbottom´s squad remain second in the division, now just five points behind leaders Burnley. However, with two automatic promotion places available, the Blades look a likely bet to return to the PL following a two-year absence. 

Winning four of their last five at Brammall Lane, United scored 12 goals in those victories, with at least three scored in wins against Burnley, Coventry and Stoke. 

Still, the Blades face a tough challenge on Friday, with Hull picking up some form in recent weeks. Unbeaten in their last six league matches, the visitors have a superb away record which has seen them win five and draw two of their previous seven on the road. Four of those seven games also saw BTTS. 

Indeed, while the hosts are big favourites, it´s hard to ignore Hull´s away record, which ranks as one of the best in the division. With United also seeing BTTS in each of their last five league matches, we feel that selection offers more value than the home win selection, currently available at just 1.6 odds at the time of writing.

While we do expect Sheffield United to claim the spoils, given their excellent recent winning form, Hull´s road form suggests an entertaining and competitive contest should ensue. With that, we´re backing BTTS with the hosts fancied to edge their way to a narrow victory.
