Santos, an eight-time Brazilian champ, have had their struggles in recent years. They were relegated in 2023 but returned instantly the following season. Unfortunately, this season, the popular Black-and-White are once again in danger of getting relegated. They only won 36 points in 33 rounds and are just one point away from dropping into the danger zone. Thus far, they averaged 1.10 points per game, which is around 0.03 ppg lower than in the 2023 season when they suffered relegation. Still, a win over Palmeiras in the last game could give them a boost for the remainder of the season.

After a 1:0 win over Palmeiras, coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda spoke to the media. He said they kept their balance in front of a team like Palmeiras and generally praised the team for their performance. He said they need to stay mentally strong and take all the remaining games as if they were finals. 

Mirassol gained promotion from Serie B last season, and even though everyone expected they would battle only to survive, that couldn't be further from the truth. The Yellow-Green are currently sitting in fourth place with 59 points from 33 rounds. Five rounds before the end of the regular phase, they are in excellent position to finish among the top five teams and secure the Copa Libertadores next season. Currently, they are seven points away from dropping out of the top five. 

After a 2:1 win over Palmeiras, coach Rafael Guanaes spoke to the media. He said it was a truly special night for them, beating such a great team. The coach was extremely happy, saying he'll enjoy the victory for the next 24 hours and then focus on the next match.
