Luxembourg will be looking for three points that could see them leapfrog second placed Slovakia in Group J when they make the trip to Portugal to face A Seleção.
Portugal have been unstoppable since their elimination at the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The Portuguese started their qualifying campaign for the upcoming 2024 EURO in style, winning their first three games with an aggregate score of 13-0. That form has declined somewhat, as they managed just 1-0 wins in their last two games.
Luxembourg meanwhile suffered a humiliating defeat to Portugal in their second game where they conceded six goals. At that point no one believed that the Red Lions would be in contention for qualification in this group. However, Holtz's men have turned things around with three wins from last three games and conceded just one goal in that period.
Portugal vs Luxembourg Betting Tips: Home & over 2.5 goals
There is no better way to dominate a group than the manner in which Portugal has done. The Navigators have not all won all their five games played so far, they have not conceded a single goal. Three of those games have seen three or more goals scored.
Only two of Luxembourg's three games in this group so far have ended with more than 2.5 goals, but they have a history of conceding many goals against Portugal. The Lions conceded two or more goals in each of their previous thirteen meetings with Portugal across all competitions.
Bets on the "over 2.5 goals" option came out winners in eleven of those matches.
- Best Tip: Portugal & over 2.5 goals
- Portugal vs Luxembourg prediction: 3-1
