Brentford face a difficult trip to the City Ground on Sunday as they take on Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

After a brilliant Premier League campaign last season, Brentford have begun to stutter in recent weeks.

Unbeaten after their first four games of the campaign, the Bees have since lost successive PL games against Newcastle and Everton while also being eliminated from the League Cup by Arsenal on Wednesday. 

Now without a win in six games - a penalty shoot-out victory at Newport aside -The Bees seem to have lost some of their sting, with the long-term absence of Ivan Toney a continued blow to their chances of a strong season. Thomas Frank´s side have collected just six points since the start of the new campaign. 

On the road, Brentford remain an inconsistent side. The Londoners have won four but lost five of their last ten away PL games since February. 

Nottingham Forest come into this game in similarly inconsistent form. The hosts have taken seven points from six games played. However, Forest have already faced both Manchester sides and Arsenal away from home in a tough opening period to the season.

At home, Steve Cooper´s side were held by Burnely in their last outing at the City Ground but had won their four previous home PL matches.

A quick check of these sides' h2h record reveals that their last four meetings all finished with BTTS. Last season, Brentford claimed a 2:1 win on home soil, having taken a 2:2 draw in the reverse meeting of this fixture 11 months ago.

A tough one to call, BTTS looks the safest option for this Premier League contest, but I also fancy Forest to edge to a vital three points against an out-of-form Brentford.
