North Macedonia vs Malta prediction 23.03.2023

North Macedonia played at the previous EURO. That is the only major competition appearance for the southeast European country in history. It is hard to imagine North Macedonia finishing among the best two teams in the group with Italy, England, and Ukraine, so that appearance will likely stay the only one. North Macedonia recently struggled, as have one draw and four losses in the last five matches. In the previous game, they lost 3-1 at home against Azerbaijan. 

The main problem for North Macedonia is scoring goals. They scored only two goals in the last five matches. 

Malta, of course, never appeared in EURO or World Cup, and that will hardly change. Of course, they are improving, but it is hard to imagine them being among the best 24 European countries. Still, Malta had a few very good friendlies recently in which they even won against Israel. In the previous game, Malta lost 1-0 at home against Ireland. 

Most of Malta's opponents recently were bad teams, but it is a good sign that they scored at least one goal in six of the last seven matches. 

North Macedonia won three of four h2h matches against Malta in history. Still, in the most recent game, the teams drew 1-1.
