Union Berlin arrives in Italy currently amid their worst-ever run of results. 

Having captured imaginations with their incredible top-four finish in the Bundesliga last season, Union have suffered a collapse in form over the past two months. The German underdogs have now lost 12 successive matches across all competitions since the start of September. 

Oddly, Union had begun the new season well with four goals netted in three successive victories in August. However, since then, it has been very much downhill for Urs Fischer´s side. 

While Serie A champions Napoli have not quite reached the heights of last season, Rudi Garcia´s men have picked up some form in recent weeks. Gli Azzurri have won three and drawn one of their last four matches since a 3:1 home defeat against Fiorentina.

In the Champions League, Union remain pointless and at the bottom of this group after Napoli´s narrow win in Berlin a fortnight ago. Napoli have six points and sit three points behind section leaders Real Madrid. 

While Napoli are certainly deserved favourites for Wednesday´s big matchup, the hosts have only managed to win one of their last five home fixtures. All five of those games saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored.

Still, despite the Italians' recent home disappointments, I expect Rudi Garcia´s side to have far too much quality for a Union side desperately looking to avoid an unlucky thirteen successive defeats.

As such, I´m backing Napoli to cover the handicap and win by at least two clear goals against their beleaguered visitors.
