Still in the fight for European qualification, Monaco welcomes Toulouse to the Stade Louis II for their final Ligue 1 fixture this season.

A poor run of form has seen Monaco drop down the table, and the home side now finds themselves sixth in the division and outside of the European qualification places.

Having won just one of their last six Ligue 1 games, Monaco now trails Rennes in fifth place on goal difference, with Lille in fourth place, one behind further ahead. 

With that knowledge, Monaco must win this match and hope either of the aforementioned sides drops points if they are to qualify for either the Europa League or Conference League, with Les Rouges et Blancs goal difference vastly inferior to that of Rennes. 

As mentioned, Monaco´s recent form is not good, while they have only managed to win two of their last six home league games, having previously won seven of the previous nine.

However, while Monaco are in a tough period, visiting Toulouse comes into this contest, having suffered something of a hangover since their CDF triumph at the end of April. Having scored a sensational 5:1 win against Nantes to lift their first-ever domestic cup a month ago, the visitors have since failed to win any of their next five games. Following a 1:0 home loss to Lens, Toulouse have subsequently drawn their next four games while managing to score just one goal in those five fixtures.

A really tough one to call with both sides in poor form and struggling for goals, we turn to the h2h record for a little inspiration, and while recent meetings have been infrequent, it is worth noting that nine of their last 11 meetings since 2015 did see BTTS. That outcome could be on the cards once more.

With Monaco in desperate need of the points, Toulouse should be able to take advantage of a home rearguard that has managed just three clean sheets in 18 home matches this season. While Toulouse has kept clean sheets in each of their last three road games, the away side have not managed that feat on their travels against any of the sides currently in the top eight.
