Albania will be looking for three points to keep their hopes of qualifying for EURO 2024 alive when they face Moldova in Chișinău on Friday evening.
Moldova have never qualified for the European Championship in their history but they have put themselves in a good position to reach next summer's tournament.
Ranked 171st in the FIFA world rankings, Moldova travelled to Poland last month looking to make it three wins in a row for the second time in nine games in all competitions. The game ended in a draw but Serghei Cleșcenco’s men still have a good chance of qualifying for Euro 2024 as they are separated from the top two by just two points and have one game in hand.
Albania meanwhile are trying to qualify for the Euros for the second time in their history. The Albanians started their EURO 2024 qualifying campaign with a defeat to Poland, but have since gone unbeaten with four wins and a draw. Qualification is not yet certain however, as a defeat this week could change everything.
Moldova vs Albania Betting Tips: Under 2.5 goals
Moldova conceded an average of two goals per game in the last European Championship qualifiers but this time the team has been very solid defensively. Serghei Cleșcenco's side have conceded more than one goal in only two of their six European Championship qualifiers so far. Bets on the "under 2.5 goals" option were won in five of these games.
The Albanians themselves have also put in a very good defensive performance since the start of the tournament. Sylvinho's side have conceded fewer than 1.5 goals in all six of their games so far, keeping a clean sheet on three occasions.
- Best Tip: Under 2.5 goals
