Having secured a Champions League quarter-final place for the first time in more than a decade, a buoyant Milan returns to Serie A duty as they take on Salernitana at the San Siro.

While the Rossoneri endured a miserable January, the reigning Serie A champions have made something of a return to form with four wins and just one loss in their last six, that coming last weekend at Fiorentina.

However, with home comforts, Stefano Piolli´s side will be expected to return to winning ways against a Salerntina side that has lost six of their last nine away league matches.

Failing to win five successive league matches in January, Milan have now won three of their last four, allowing them to remain just three points behind second-placed Inter.

Currently fifth in the division, a top-four finish remains the priority for the Rossoneri, and they should be fancied to claim the spoils here with their home form remaining pretty consistent, even during that dismal start to the year.

Indeed, going back 12 months, Milan have lost only two of their last twenty home league with six wins in their eight most recent league matches at the San Siro. Milan also claimed a 2:1 win when these sides met in their reverse fixture earlier this season.

With Salernitana continuing to struggle on the road and the hosts in a boisterous mood following their Champions League success, it´s hard to see anything other than a Milan win here.

Goals have been in short supply for Milan of late, but they should be able to score at least twice against an opponent that leaked eight at Atalanta and five at Sassuolo.
