In a bid to salvage their Premier League title chances, Manchester City will face a stern test from Tottenham this midweek on Thursday. Both the Premier League sides played against their bitter rivals on the weekend but were left with a defeat at the end of the day, having been outscored by their counterparts. Now, Spurs will play to reduce the six-point deficit between the two sides while City will have an eye on the Gunners romping ahead by eight points at the top of the table. Pep Guardiola's team is the best in the league when it comes to home form (W7 D1 L1), so they would be dying to play Antonio Conte's men who have failed to win (5) more times than they have won on away turf (4).
Manchester City vs Tottenham Betting Pick #1: Home/Over 2.5
City have always found it tough to play this Spurs side which almost brought their title race to a half last season in this very fixture. In fact, Guardiola actually does not favour playing Antonio Conte's three-man defensive style and does not have an exceptional record against the Italian. So, we are pretty sure that the reigning champions will bring their A-game in this game and score over 2.5 goals alone. With seven wins from nine home games, it looks simply evident that City will take all three points too (especially with Arsenal running away at the top and United breathing down their necks).
Pick #2: BTTS
Tottenham have scored in each of their last three away games in the league now. Away from home (in total), they have 16 goals from nine games played too. To add to it, City have not kept a clean sheet in three of their last five home games played and in five of their last seven games in totality. There is no doubt that Harry Kane and Erling Haaland will be rubbing their hands in anticipation of Thursday.

Manchester City Team News
John Stones joins Ruben Dias on the nursing table in Guardiola's camp. While the Portuguese centre-back has been out since the World Cup with a hamstring injury and has a return date of January end, his English teammate picked up a knock in the past week and shall not be available for this game on Thursday. With both centre-backs out, the Spanish coach is highly likely to switch back to a back-four and play the duo of Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji in this game.
Players to watch: Erling Haaland (21 goals and 3 assists), Kevin de Bruyne (60 chances created this season), Joao Cancelo (1.3 interceptions per 90 mins)

Tottenham Team News
While City is a bit thin in the defence, Spurs lack some offensive depth to injuries. Recent signing Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus is out with a muscle injury and although he is back in solo training, the attacking midfielder cannot be expected to make it to the starting eleven on this trip to Manchester. Veteran Spurs winger Lucas Moura remains out with an Achilles Tendon injury and the club has reported him to be out with uncertain date of return at the moment. Antonio Conte has no other injuries or suspensions to worry about.
Players to watch: Harry Kane (15 goals and 1 assist), Heung-Min Son (31 chances created this season), Cristian Romero (1.6 interceptions per 90 mins)
