Following the two-week international break, Premer League fans can expect a cracking contest in Manchester, with Brighton keen to maintain their strong start to the new campaign.

Four games into the season, the Seagulls arrive at OT having won three and lost one PL match to leave them sixth in the division, three points above their hosts.

For United, a tough fixture list has seen them lose both away matches at Tottenham and Arsenal, and they sit 11th in the table, having won home fixtures against Forest and Wolves.

While Erik Ten Haag´s side have struggled for consistency on their travels, the Red Devils remain unbeaten in their last 20 home PL matches (W17, D3). However, the last team to win at this venue was Brighton, some 13 months ago.

Roberto de Zerbi´s side have been a little up-and-down on the road in 2023 but have still lost just four of their last 14 away PL matches. 

The Seagulls also have a strong recent record against United, with victories achieved in each of their last three PL matches. The Red Devils did emerge with a shoot-out victory in the FA Cup semi-finals in April.

Still, given their strong PL record against United over the past 18 months, I fancy Brighton to take at least a point in what should be a competitive and high-paced occasion between two sides that like to get forward.

Goals seem likely, although just one goal has been scored in their two most recent matches, including Brighton´s 1:0 PL victory at the AMEX in May. BTTS will appeal for goal chasers, but my preference is to take a chance on Roberto de Zerbi´s side to take a point or more on Saturday.
