The African qualifications for the World Cup 2026 are on the program. This WC will be held for the first time in three countries and with as many as 48 participants. In proportion to that expansion, we will see a greater number of African national teams at the tournament. They were better than Saudi Arabia and Uganda, while they drew goalless against Ivory Coast.

On the other hand, Chad is far from a soccer nation. In fact, this country has never competed in any major competition. Most of the football players of this national team perform in domestic clubs, and only a few of them perform abroad. Last month they played two warm-up matches against Sudan, with one loss and one draw.

The difference in the quality of these teams is too great. Mali is an excellent young team on the rise, whose footballers play in quality teams across Europe. The first stars of the team are central midfielder Amadou Haidara, a member of RB Leipzig, and Cheick Doucure, who plays for Crystal Palace with great success. The problem for this national team is that their best players are in same positions and the lack of quality strikers. On the other hand, the largest number of football players in Chad play football semi-professionally and simply do not have the necessary quality to adequately respond to this challenge. The last time they played was two years ago when Mali won 3:0 in the AFCON qualifiers. We expect something similar in this match, an easy victory for the hosts with a maximum of 4 goals scored, not more then that.
