Lyon are not a dominant team in France as they were between 2001 and 2008 when they won seven titles. In the last season, they finished 8th and missed Europe. This season they will most likely miss it again. They are in 7th place with 59 points from 36 matches - four points away from the 5th-placed Lille, and there are only two rounds left. There is still a chance, but they are slim. 

Reims have been a mid-table team since they came to Ligue 2 four seasons ago. This season is not much different. They are in 11th place with 51 points from 36 matches and can't move significantly up or down in the standings in the remaining two games.

Lyon are in good form. They won three of the last four games, with only a loss against Clermont on the road. But even in that match, they had better ball possession (63%) and better xG (2.11 vs 1.67).

At home, Lyon have been great with back-to-back wins against good teams of Monaco and Montpellier. They were really efficient and have scored eight goals in those two games!

Reims are not playing well. They won just once in the previous seven games. On the road, Reims lost three consecutive games against Lens (despite Lens receiving a red card), Clermont, and Rennes). 

Another big problem for Reims will be the absence of key players in the defensive line since they have a very short rotation.

In the first h2h game, we saw a 1:1 draw at Reims, but Lyon were a much better team with 74% ball possession and much more goalscoring chances.
