Now just eight points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal, an on-form Man Utd take on struggling rivals Liverpool at Anfield. 

Just 12 months ago, Man Utd would finish a whopping 34 points behind their great Mersey rivals however the tables have very much been turned this season, with the Red Devils now boasting a 13-point advantage on their hosts, with the Reds in danger of missing out on European qualification.

Losing just one of their last 20 matches in all competitions, Man Utd have been in superb form since Christmas, with Erik Ten Haag´s side winning the EFL Cup while also eliminating Barcelona from the Europa League.

In the PL, the Dutchman has led his side to an impressive nine wins from their 11 most recent league matches and will surely fancy their chances of claiming a rare win at Anfield. 

Liverpool did pick up a much-needed three points against Wolves on Wednesday, and while their away PL form has been dismal, their record at Anfield is much more secure, with eight wins and just one loss in their previous 11. 

Still, United will surely see this as their best chance to win at this venue in a number of years. The Red Devils last picked up three PL points at Anfield in 2015. Since then, Liverpool have won four and drawn three of their seven PL games on Merseyside, including a 4:0 rout last April. Yet, much has changed since that heavy reversal, and we expect the visitors to take at least a point against a side that looks well short of their best form. 

Goals would usually be expected in this contest, although just four of their last nine meetings have seen both teams scoring. Each of the last five PL matches between these great rivals did see over 2.5 goals scored, however.

Ultimately, while you wouldn´t back against both teams hitting the target in what is likely to be an open and entertaining contest, we´re backing Ten Haag´s on-form side to return to Manchester with a point or more in a game that usually lives up to its big billing.
