Leeds have been playing with a lot of swings this season and they just can't string together a few good games in a row. Because of the bad results, there was also a change on the bench where Jesse Marscha was replaced by the Spaniard Javi Gracia. On his debut, he achieved a victory against one of the competitors for the survival of Southampton, but then followed two unpleasant ones against Fulham in the FA Cup and against Chelsea in the last round of the Premier League. In that match against Chelsea, Leeds had a chance to get at least one point, but their weaknesses surfaced again, the poor efficiency and a large number of injuries.
On the other hand, Brighton is playing fantastic football this season. At the moment, they hold the 8th position in the table with 38 points, but also 3 games less than their competitors. After a disappointing defeat against Fulham 1:0 in a game in which they had more than their share of the game, there followed a response and a rhapsody against West Ham, who were defeated 4:0. Once again, all the lines of the team worked brilliantly, and the world champion with Argentina, Alexis Mac Allister, who recorded one goal and one assist, stood out in particular. At the end of the match, veteran Danny Welbeck, who has been struggling with injuries lately, was among the scorers.
Leeds vs Brighton pick: BRIGHTON TO WIN
This pick is a no-brainer for me. I really don't see how Leeds can compete against the visitors on an equal footing at the moment. Brighton plays fantastic in the league and only due to a combination of unfortunate circumstances are they not positioned higher in the table, although they still have a good chance to qualify for European competition next season. The Seagulls have a recognizable game, quality starters, and plenty of solid options on the bench and in the last 10 matches in all competitions, they have been defeated only once. Tradition does not go well for the home team either, because since returning to the Premier League, they have not recorded a single victory in the 5 matches played against Brighton. I think that Leeds will still have to look for much-needed points in the fight for survival against clubs of their rank.
