Last year, Kayserispor probably had one of the best seasons in Super Lig since coming to the league. They finished 9th with 47 points (with three deducted points), but if it weren't for a bad end of the season, they would finish much higher, maybe around 5th or sixth place. The current season started very well for the Anatolian Star as they are in 8th place with nine points, only two away from European spots. 

Istanbul Basaksehir, the Turkish league champion from the 2019/20 season, had a solid last season. Yes, they failed to reach Europe but were very close to doing so both via league finish and the Cup. In the Cup, they reached the finals but lost to Fenerbahce, while in the league, The Grey Owls finished 5th, seven points from Europe. And even though everyone expected a solid start in the 2023/24 season, Istanbul Basaksehir is having one of the worst starts in Super Lig. Currently, they are 18th, with only three points in six rounds.

Kayserispor started the season very well, losing only once in the first six rounds. The loss came on the road against one of the strongest clubs in Turkey - Besiktas, which is definitely a loss they can afford. At home, Kayserispor have been exceptional, with seven points in three rounds and only one conceded goal! The fact they drew (1:1) with last season's champs, Galatasaray, in a very close match says a lot about their capabilities at Kadir Has Stadium. 

On the other hand, Istanbul Basaksehir are in terrible form, losing five of six games in the Super Lig. Last season, despite playing much better throughout the season, Istanbul Basaksehir won only six matches in 18 rounds, so it is unreal to expect a positive result on the road vs in-form Kayserispor.

Traditionally, Kayserispor have been very good against Istanbul Basaksehir. They won four of the previous five h2h games and also won the previous three at Kadir Has Stadium without conceding a goal. Considering the difference in form, previous h2h games, and the home pitch advantage, we feel that Kayserispor are much closer to winning the game.
