- Competition: EURO 2024 Qualification
- Date: 15th November 2023
- Kickoff: 19:45 UTC / 20:45 CET
- Venue: Pancho Arena
The second and third placed nations in Group I of EURO 2024 qualifying square off at Pancho Arena on Wednesday as Israel face Switzerland on a neutral ground.
Switzerland outplayed Israel in their last meeting in March as the Swiss claimed all three points with a 3:0 win in Geneva.
Israel's hopes of qualifying for the European Championship for the first time since joining UEFA in 1994 are not over despite their defeat to Kosovo last time out. The game was originally scheduled for the 15th October but could not be played due to the conflict between Hamas and Israel. Primož Gliha's men must now beat Switzerland this week to keep their qualification ambitions alive.
While Israel need a win to keep their EURO qualification hopes alive, Switzerland can qualify for the competition for the third time in a row if they pick up all three points on Wednesday. The Red Crosses suffered a humiliating international break last month as they were held to a 3:3 draw at home against Belarus, despite taking the lead after 26 minutes. It was the third time in the last four games that Murat Yakin's men went ahead but only took a point in the end.
Israel vs Switzerland Betting Tips: Switzerland to win
Switzerland enter this match as favourites for the three points but Israel should not be underestimated. The Chosen Team have lost just one of their last five games in this competition, winning three and drawing one. Alon Hazan's side also have a good record against Switzerland, having lost only one of their last five meetings.
However, given their recent problems in defence and Switzerland's solid away performances in this competition, we believe the Red Crosses will do enough to secure a narrow victory.

Israel team news
Israel vs. Switzerland is scheduled to take place on a neutral ground, Hungary, due to the ongoing Hamas-Israel conflict.
Head coach Alon Hazan will not be able to call on the services of Sagiv Jehezkel on Wednesday due to injury.
The striker only played 22 minutes in the defeat against Kosovo last time out before being replaced by Gavriel Kanichowsky through injury.
Roy Revivo is also expected to miss Wednesday's game after the left-back was sent off for two bookings in the injury time of that game.

Switzerland team news
Manuel Akanji was doubtful for Manchester City's Premier League match against Chelsea last weekend but the defender made a timely recovery and should be available for Switzerland's game this week.
Head coach Murat Yakin's 28-man squad also includes stars such as Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer, Gladbach centre-back Nico Elvedi, Leverkusen midfielder Granit Xhaka and Chicago Fire midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.
