Israel will be looking to keep their hopes of qualifying for EURO 2024 alive when they take on Group B runners-up Romania in Hungary this weekend.
The hosts will enter the game knowing that anything less than a win will hurt their chances of automatic qualification, while a point could be enough for Romania to secure qualification.
Since joining UEFA in 1994, Israel have not been able to qualify for the European Championship and their faith for the next edition is still hanging in the air right now. The chosen Team came from behind to earn a point in their last match against Switzerland, and that has put automatic qualification within touching distance. Should Alon Hazan's side beat Romania this weekend and Andorra next week, they will certainly finish the European Championship qualifiers in the top two of Group I.
Romania meanwhile have already made it to the European Championship on five occasions. Although the Romanians were a host in 2020, they failed to qualify but have put themselves in a very good position this time around. Given that their massive goal difference in Group I, a draw this weekend will be enough for Edward Iordănescu's side to secure a place at next summer's tournament in Germany.
Israel vs Romania Betting Tips: Draw and Under 2.5 goals
Israel have been a tough opponent to beat in recent games with the Chosen Team losing just one of their last six EURO qualifiers. Each of the last four encounters have ended with two goals or fewer, which is the first reason why we expect a close game.
Romania are also in form as the Tricolours have yet to lose in qualifying for EURO 2024. Edward Iordănescu's side also kept a clean sheet in each of their last three matches and only one of those games saw more than 2.5 goals scored.
The only previous competitive meeting between Israel and Romania was the reverse fixture back in September, which ended in a 1-1 draw. With qualification at stake for both teams, we think Saturday's game will be very close in terms of both result and score.

Israel team news
Israel suffered no injuries in their last tie against Switzerland but head coach Alon Hazan is expected to make some changes to the team that started that game.
Shon Zalman Weissman came off the bench to score the equaliser in the second half, and the Granada striker is among the players who are likely to be promoted from the bench.
Roy Revivo has served his one-match ban, but Sagiv Yehezkel is still nursing the injury he picked up against Kosovo last weekend.

Romania team news
Head coach Edward Iordănescu will continue to rely on the services of Nicolae Stanciu and Valentin Mihaila, who are Romania's joint top scorers in Euro 2024 qualifying with three goals apiece.
The latter was not in the starting eleven for the win over Andorra in October, but the 23-year-old could be called upon this weekend in place of Daniel Bîrligea who made his international debut last time out.
