Following a thrilling 2:2 UCL midweek draw with PSV, Rangers return to Premiership duty with a potentially tricky away fixture against Hibernian at Easter Road.

While their Dutch counterparts will have the weekend off, Rangers will look to build their form in the Scottish Premiership ahead of the crucial second leg in Eindhoven next Wednesday.

Still, a trip to Hibs is usually a tough one, and Giovanni Van Bronckhorst´s side will need to be at their best to maintain their winning start to the league campaign with the hosts a tough nut to crack at Easter Road.

Hibernian vs Rangers Betting Tips: Rangers to win

Rangers arrive in Scotland´s capital having taken three wins from their opening three matches, including a resounding 4:0 win against St Johnstone last weekend. Hibs, in contrast, have picked up just one win and one draw from their three openers while they suffered a first loss of the campaign at Livingston last time out.

On their own patch, Hibs have been tough to beat this year, with just two losses in their previous thirteen home league fixtures since December 2021. However, The Hibees have won only four of those matches, including just one of their last six. All of the other five matches finished as draws.

Still, Rangers boast an excellent record in this fixture over the past few seasons, with The Gers picking up 10 wins and 1 draw from their last 11 league meetings. Of course, Hibs caused a famous upset when eliminating Rangers in the League Cup semi-finals last November, but that result excluding, Rangers have dominated this fixture since 2020.

At this venue, Rangers have won three of their last four, with Hibs failing to score in all three defeats, although a clean sheet might be a tough ask for the visitors who have managed that feat in only two of their last eleven away Premiership fixtures since the start of the year.

Ultimately, an entertaining and hard-fought contest should be expected, but Rangers will be desperate to maintain momentum ahead of their midweek trip to Holland, and we´re backing The Teddy Bears to return home to Glasgow with all three points in the bag with their attacking quality ultimately proving too much for Lee Johnson´s inconsistent side.

Antonio Colak is again expected to lead the line despite the return to fitness of Alfredo Morelos, with the Croat in excellent form against PSV, scoring the vital equaliser.

Head Coach Van Bronckhorst is likely to make one or two changes as he looks to freshen his side up ahead of the trip to Holland. As such, the likes of Rabbi Matondo, Scott Wright and Ryan Jack come back into Rangers' starting line-up.

Ianis Hagi, Filip Helander and Kemar Roofe remain long-term absentees for The Gers.
