- Venue: Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium
Fifth-placed Goa will take on East Bengal in the Super League next as the two sides meet in the 16th game week of the competition. The home side could move to the third spot if other fixtures favour them, as they sit on 23 points from the nine wins and draws from 15 games played in 2022-23. East Bengal have not drawn a single game since the season began, losing ten of their 14 games played as they arrive as underwhelming underdogs in this clash. It becomes even tougher for the away side when we look at Goa's home record of five wins from seven games played. Fortunately for the East Indian side, they have played much better away from home than in their own backyard, as three of their only four wins have come on away turf this season.
FC Goa vs East Bengal Betting Pick #1: Over 2.5 goals
Goa are very much in the driving seat for this one, given their success at this ground in addition to East Bengal's three-game losing streak. Both sides have been defensively shambolic this year though, with no clean sheets in their last six games played. But, with Goa also proving to be a force offensively, they have gone on to score just over two goals alone in their seven games played at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the ISL this season. We thus would bet on Goa winning this with over 2.5 goals being scored.
Pick #2: BTTS
As surprising as it may seem, Goa have actually not kept a clean sheet against East Bengal in the last six meetings. This is a very strong attacking record by the Bengal-based club against such a successful ISL franchise. Given the fact that the home side has been conceding almost every game since late November, we would bet on both sides scoring again this Thursday.

FC Goa Team News
FC Goa coach Carlos Pena has rued Goa's defensive falters this season, and it also recently resulted in the club dropping points against Northeast United, the weakest side in the ISL this year. Pena recently spoke to the club's official website, "It was disappointing because today was a day to get three points, if we had dominated both the boxes then it was a day to get all three points. We created chances and we couldn’t convert, we gave them too many chances to score a goal and I think they (NorthEast United) were better in the boxes". The Goans have no injuries or suspensions ahead of Thursday's home clash.

East Bengal Team News
Though East Bengal would like to count on every first-team player as they play one of the biggest teams in the competition, away from home, there is one player who might have to make a late fitness call. Central midfielder Alex picked up a knock against Hyderabad FC in the 2-0 loss and was stretchered off in the contest due to the same. We believe that Alex would still play on Thursday, as he participated in the latest training session ahead of this away trip. No other injuries or suspensions for East Bengal on this away trip.
Players to watch: Cleiton Silva (9 goals), Naorem Singh (1.3 key passes per game average), Golui Sarthak (2.0 interceptions per 90 mins)
