Girona are one of the newcomers to spanish LaLiga, having managed to secure promotion via the play-offs last season, beating Tenerife 3-1 on aggregate. Of course, the ambitions of the club this season are clear, and there is no doubt that the Catalan team will give their best in order to keep their first division status. "Blanquivermells" are 12th in the table with 18 collected points, three points more than Cadiz, which is the first team below the line, and considering that Girona has finished participating in the Copa del Rey, all effort and energy in the rest of the season will be invested only in the domestic championship.
Sevilla has, to put it mildly, a disastrous season, bearing in mind that many, before the start of the championship, saw it as one of the most serious competitors for the first four places in LaLiga. The Andalusians finished in fourth place without major problems and regularly secured participation in the most prestigious football club competition (UEFA Champions League) every time in the last three seasons. However, at this moment, the situation is such that they are no longer thinking about European competitions, but only about survival, since they have the same number of points as the first team in the relegation zone.
Girona vs Sevilla Betting Tips: Away / Draw (X2)
If we look at all five meetings in recent history between these teams, we can see that tradition is absolutely on the side of the Andalusians, given that Sevilla have triumphed with a "clean sheet" four times in the last five clashes.
Girona are still without a triumph since the season resumed after the World Cup break. Still, the Catalans showed their teeth in both LaLiga games and took a point against the rather unpleasant Rayo Vallecano (2-2) and Espanyol (2-2).
However, it should be kept in mind that Girona, with those two draws, continued their undefeated streak of as many as six games, a streak that also includes a point against the current European champions, Real Madrid, 1-1.
The continuation of the season after the World Cup break for now is going in the right direction for Sevilla, who does not have a defeat in those four games. The atmosphere in the dressing room improved significantly after Sevilla's 2-1 triumph over Getafe at the weekend, their first of the season in front of home fans.
Including competitive and non-competitive ones, the Andalusians are now undefeated in the previous eight games, from which they managed to record six triumphs and two draws, so on the wings of those results, they will try to continue their unbeaten streak against a team that is in a "slight" drop in form in the continuation of the season.
There is no doubt that an entertaining duel awaits us, since both teams have problems keeping the net. However, we will back the away side as the Andalusians look much more confident and disciplined after the World Cup break, so hopefully they have enough quality to take at least a point from this visit. We even expect Sevilla to win!

Girona Team News
Girona will host Sevilla without the injured Juanpe (Heel injury), Ibrahima Kebe (Knee problems) and Reinier (Hamstring injury), while Borja Garcia is on the verge of returning to the field after a PCL injury.
However, the biggest problem for coach Michel will be the absence of the team's top scorer Taty Castellanos who earned his fifth yellow card of the season last weekend and will be suspended for one match.

Sevilla Team News
Meanwhile, Sevilla still have a long list of injured players, so they won't be able to count on Marcao, Alex Telles, Thomas Delaney, Papu Gomez and Jesus Corona in Saturday's clash against Girona.
The good news is that right-back Jose Angel Carmona will return to the team after serving a one-match suspension, while the eventual appearance of centre-back Karim Rekik remains in question.
