Ghana played solid at the World Cup, where they finished with three points in the group phase. Still, this team that are playing at African Nations Championship is almost completely different. From a team that played in Qatar is only goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad, who didn't have any appearance at the World Cup. Ghana started African Nations Championship with a 2-1 loss against Madagascar. Ghana were a better team, but Madagascar converted most of their good goal-scoring chances and secured a big win. 

Ghana had three games this January. They scored only one goal in those three matches, so Ghana have obvious problems in the attack. 

Sudan still didn't play any matches at this tournament. They should play against Morocco in the first round, but the Moroccan Football Federation decided to pull out from the competition because there is no direct flight between Morocco and the host country, Algeria. Sudan played only one game this January. In that friendly match, they lost 2-0 against Cameroon.

Sudan also have problems with the attack. They didn't score any goals in the last four matches.
