UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying resumes on Thursday as an already-qualified Scotland takes on Georgia at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena.

For the first time in their history, Scotland comes into a qualifying match having already secured qualification for the upcoming finals. Indeed, with two games to spare, the Scots' unprecedented achievement is all the more remarkable given the tough nature of this group.

Sitting second behind Spain on goal difference only, the Scots find themselves five points clear of Norway and eight ahead of the Georgians.

Steve Clarke´s side have experienced three successive defeats though after a controversial defeat in Spain was followed by friendly defeats against England and France. 

On the road, the Scots are usually an entertaining watch. Seven of their last nine away matches saw over 2.5 goals scored. Scotland only managed two clean sheets in those nine fixtures.

At this venue, Georgia, who can no longer qualify for next summer´s finals, have already taken a point against Norway in a 1:1 draw although they did capitulate to a 7:1 reversal against Spain. Still, Willy Sagnol´s men have only failed to score in one of their last ten home matches.

With the Scots in great form in this qualification campaign, and Georgia usually scoring at home, I expect BTTS in a competitive matchup. 

Ultimately,, while qualification issues have already been settled, the Scots still have their eye on the top spot and a potentially higher seeding for next month´s draw. As such, I expect Steve Clarke´s men to eventually come out on top at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena.
