Napoli will be looking for an immidiate return to winning ways when they travel to Luigi Ferraris this weekend to take on Genoa.
Genoa kicked off their campaign on a disappointing note with a defeat to Fiorentina in which they conceded four goals on their own patch. Alberto Gilardino's men were in desperate need of a win on Matchday Two, and they got it with a home victory over Lazio. Prior to the international break they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Torino and will face an even bigger task against the champions this weekend.
Napoli, meanwhile, started the 2023-24 season in style registering back to back wins over the likes of Frosinone and Sassuolo. Before the international break, however, the Gli Azzuri suffered a surprising 2-1 defeat against Lazio and will be looking to get straight back on the winning track this weekend.

Genoa did not suffer any injuries in the defeat to Torino before the international break, but coach Alberto Gilardino will make at least one change to the side that started that game.

Napoli will continue to rely on the services of Victor Osimhen who was the league's top scorer last season with twenty-six goals.
The 24-year-old was on fire during the international break with Nigeria, scoring a hat-trick against São Tomé and Príncipe in 2024 AFCON Qualification.
He will lead the line for the Gli Azzuri this weekend and will be joined in the final third by Matteo Politano and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, while Mário Rui will hope to replace Mathias Olivera in defence.
