Galatasaray will host a second leg of the Champions League Playoff Round in Istanbul after a 3:2 win in the first leg in Norway.
Galatasaray had an atrocious season in 2021/22, but after that, in the following season, they assembled an excellent team and won the league title after three years. This season, they once again have an excellent team, not only capable of winning the Turkish league but also making some noise in Europe.
Norwegian champions, Molde, have been Norway's best or second-best team for the last six years. Due to a different football calendar than most of Europe, Molde have already played 19 rounds in the domestic league, but they are not doing very well, at least by their standards from recent years. Currently, they are 4th, already ten points behind the first-placed Bodo/Glimit.

In the first leg, Galatasaray won by a stoppage-time goal from Mitdsjo, but it was far from an easy game for Galatasaray. Molde were a slightly better team in that match, but we have already seen Galatasaray struggling on the road. In Turkey, Galatasaray (and other Turkish teams) are playing a lot better, and we think they should offer a much better display. So far this season, Galatasaray played three home games and won all three matches without conceding a goal. In the previous season, Galata were a very dominant home team in the domestic league, winning 15 of 18 home games - 83%.
Molde are in bad form, with only one win in the last five matches. Their only win was against Faroe Islands champions - Ki Klaksvik. On the road, they had big problems in these Qualifiers, as they lost both against HJK in the second round and Klaksvik in the third qualifying round. It is hard to expect they will get a positive result against a much better team than those they have faced so far.

Wilfried Zaha missed the first leg due to injury and will most likely miss the second leg too. Zaha arrived during the Summer transfer window and will surely be one of the main Galatasaray players this season.
Lucas Torreira, a key midfielder, was suspended for the first leg but should return to the starting lineup in the second leg.
On 19th August, Galatasaray signed midfielder Hakim Ziyech on a loan deal from Chelsea, but he is unavailable for the game against Molde since he is not registered for this round.

A starting right full-back, Martin Linnes, and striker Veton Berisha, missed the first leg due to injuries and will most likely be out for the second leg, too.
Coach Erling Moe spoke to the media before the second leg. He said it will be nice to play in front of so many people and said they will go "all in" in this match. He also noted that they are not without the chance, especially if they repeat the performance from the first leg.
