Fulham welcomes an improving Crystal Palace to Craven Cottage as the Premier League season reaches its final weeks. Sitting 10th and 12th, respectively, both sides are safe from the threat of relegation, and an entertaining London derby can be expected.

Unable to qualify for Europe but no longer having to worry about what´s behind them, both teams could be forgiven for having one eye on the beach. 

Yet, despite this fixture having the hallmarks of an end-of-season affair, a decent contest seems likely, with both teams in decent form over the past couple of weeks.

While Fulham had endured something of a late-season slump, having lost five successive games between March and April, they have since won four and lost three, with four of their last five at home also seeing at least three goals scored.

Visiting Palce have certainly picked up form since the appointment of Roy Hodgson to the Eagles dugout. The former England boss has steered his side to five wins and just two losses since his appointment in March. 

While Fulham claimed a big 3:0 win when these sides last met at Selhurst Park earlier this season, Palace will take confidence from having won both of their last two PL visits to this venue. Intriguingly, just one of the last seven PL meetings between these local rivals has been won by the home team.

With both teams in mid-table and having little to play for beyond local pride and end-of-season prize money, an open and entertaining contest seems likely, with goals at both ends having every chance. Fulham have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored in each of their last three home PL games, including a thrilling 5:3 win against Leicester last weekend. While Palace have failed to score in their last two away matches, we expect Hodgson´s men to take advantage of the Cottagers' poor defence, which has managed just one clean sheet in their last 11 home PL matches.
