RFS takes on city rivals Metta, having enjoyed a superb run of form which has seen them remain unbeaten over the past 29 league outings. Claiming victories in 12 of their last 15 league games, RFS remains second in the division, four points behind rivals Riga. 

On the road, RFS have been particularly strong in recent weeks, scoring 18 goals while winning four of their last five away fixtures. However, they were held to a goalless draw against Metta at this venue just six weeks ago.

Metta, currently sixth in the division, enters this contest in a poor run, having taken just one point from their three most recent league contests. Nineteen points behind RFS, just sixteen games into their season, it would take another big effort for Metta to take something from this fixture. 

At home, the hosts have won only three of their last 15 league games since July 2022, although two of those wins did come in the past three weeks. 

Still, RFS have dominated this fixture in recent years, with the visitors claiming the spoils in six of their last eight meetings over the past two seasons. Unbeaten in each of their past 20 meetings, RFS have also managed to win in four of their last seven visits to the  Hanzas vidusskolas laukums. Metta´s last win in this contest came all the way back in 2016. 

Ultimately, while RFS failed to pick up the points when these sides last met at this venue in May, we expect the visitors to have too much quality on Friday, and an away win should be backed, with RFS in such potent goal-scoring form this season.
