As we all know, France is one of the best teams in the world. They lost the World Cup final against Argentina but are building the team that should rule the world again. So far in EURO 2024 qualifications, France won 12 points from four rounds, so they are getting close to qualifying for the tournament. In the previous match, France won 1-0 at home versus Greece. That result is not impressive, but France had so many good goal-chances to score, so they probably deserved to win with a bigger margin. Still, the most important was another three points, so France will have a lot of confidence ahead of the game against Ireland. 

Ireland hasn't played a major competition since 2016. Ireland will unlikely play next year at EURO because they collected only three points from the first three matches. Ireland started with two defeats, but in the previous games, they won 3-0 at home versus Gibraltar. That kind of win was something most people expected against the weakest team in the group.
