After surviving in the last round of the previous season, Everton seems like the team that could have problems in the 2023/24 season too. Sean Dyche's team needed four games to pick up the first point. After three straight defeats in the previous round, Everton played 2-2 on the road against Sheffield United. Still, after watching the game, we have to admit that Everton clearly had better goal-scoring opportunities, but eventually, the teams split the points. Now, Everton have another tough game, so the horror start could continue for a team from Goodison Park.
Arsenal have big ambitions for this season as they are probably the only Premier League team who could enter the race with Manchester City. Arsenal collected ten points in the first four Premier League rounds. In the previous match, Mikel Arteta's team won 3-1 at home versus Manchester United. The teams were close to splitting the points, but Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus found the net in the second half's stoppage time, so the home side picked up all three points.
Everton vs Arsenal: Arsenal to win and cover AH -1 spread
Two Everton goals in the previous round are the only one so far this season. On the other hand, Arsenal didn't win only against Fulham in the game where they dominated the whole game.
Arsenal have too much firepower for Everton at the moment, so guests to win and cover AH -1 spread seem to be the best bet for this tie.

Everton team news
Everton doesn't have too many reasons for satisfaction at the start of the season. They struggled in almost every game. Still, late in the transfer window, Everton signed Beto from Udinese for 25 million euros. Beto played against Sheffield United and although he didn't score, he was one of the best on the pitch. The striker will certainly need some time to adjust, but his game is something positive for Everton fans at the moment.
Everton have problems with injuries. For the game against Arsenal, out are Seamus Coleman, Dele Alli, and Jack Harrison. Also, Lewis Dobbin, Michael Keane, Andre Gomes, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are questionable to play.

Arsenal team news
Arsenal have problems with injuries too, as Jurrien Timber, Mohamed Elneny, and Thomas Partey are out for Sunday's game against Everton.
In the previous round against Manchester United, Gabriel Jesus came off the bench but scored late in the second half. He could return to the starting lineup instead of Edward Nketiah in the upcoming tie at Goodison Park. That is probably the only change Arteta will make.
